Excited About 2014
Copied from my Facebook, but I figured it’s worth sharing elsewhere.
Very excited to hear about 4 films I got to work on last year and the year before, getting either finished, or having their world premiere’s in the coming months!
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Chu and Blossom” for their world premiere at the end of the month! It was a wonderful pleasure working on that set, and it will go down as one of my favorite feature film experiences ever.
Congrats to “and a bag of chips ” for being finished and premiering in the coming months as well. An excellent crew, cast, and some really wonderful people in general. Everyone on that set were some of the most excellent human beings to work with, hands down.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Me + Her, A Cardboard Love Story,” for making it into the Sundance Film Festival this year. Though I only got to work a day on set, it’s still great to have seen its progress over many months/years, and what can one say about a man and crew who made an entire world out of cardboard? Just phenomenal, and the people I met and the talent I saw, definitely deserve the honor of premiering at Sundance.
And finally, a big congratulations to the cast and crew of “1954” for finishing and releasing their film later this year. Loved the story, loved the people, and I loved the fun concept and set atmosphere. Also, it was really wonderful to get to work with great friends (as always).
It’s a good year for finished products, and I can only hope for a good rest of the year for starting really wonderful and exciting films as well. And I’m not even counting the Fallout and Aperture R&D work from earlier last year either.
Oh! Also, congrats to everyone who worked on the Davis Guggenheim documentary, “Teach” for premiering earlier in the year. That one kind of slipped under the radar for me, but it was certainly great hearing that it debuted and was well-received. I personally loved its message and the people were really fantastic to work with. Thanks Ryan M Grosjean for recommending me on that one, it was great both being a colleague of yours, and having you as one of my greatest friends. Also, I think we worked on all but one of these projects together. Haha.
I’d say a special thanks to everyone I worked with as well, but then I’d be here all day. All I can say is that, though times are a little tepid for me now, I have the greatest group of friends, colleagues, and acquaintances one could ever ask for, and your work really shines through it all. Here’s to a phenomenal 2014!
